ImageNational Director, Daniel Selvanayagam made a brief visit to Japan from March 12-14 and met Isuzu Motors’ senior leadership as well as visited World Vision Japan office.

Daniel went to Isuzu Head Office at Omori where he met the Executive Director and others. A presentation was given about Isuzu’s social responsibility to the people where they work as well as about the Company profile.

He also visited one of their factory located in Fujisawa where they manufacture heavy and light duty vehicles. He was very much impressed with their handwork, innovation, care for the environment (he was told that their engines are environment friendly) and for their hospitality.

During his stay in Japan, Daniel also met World Vision Japan's Executive Director, Mr. Nobuhiko Katayama, and his International Program staff and discussed about the future strategic working relationship between World Vision Vietnam and World Vision Japan.

Through World Vision Vietnam and World Vision Japan, Isuzu Motors is funding the Comprehensive Education for Ethnic Minority Children Project in the northern province of Dien Bien. The project, which is run between mid 2007 and 2009, will benefit around 8,500 school children and teachers in Muong Cha and Tuan Giao Districts.
